EMF Exposure: CPAP Machines
Sleeping with a CPAP machine can leave you with many questions about your EMF exposure. There are a few precautions you can take to ensure you are limiting your exposure with your CPAP machine.
Mitigating EMF Exposure CPAP Machines
To ensure you are attaining an EMF friendly sleeping environment with a CPAP device, use the precautions listed below whenever possible.
- Place the CPAP device itself as far away from the EMF Bed Canopy or bed as is reasonably possible.
- Use for a standard tube, rather than a “heated” tube.
- Some CPAP machines send the usage data wirelessly. In these cases, there may be an option to put the CPAP machine into “Airplane” mode (i.e. disable the RF emissions).
- If compatible, use a shielded power cable to power the device.
* Please note that results may vary from case-to-case.

Always verify your EMF exposure with an EMF meter!
EMF Meters For Effective Mitigation
An EMF (electromagnetic field) meter is a valuable tool for individuals using CPAP machines, as it helps measure the levels of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the device. With growing concerns about prolonged exposure to EMFs, monitoring these emissions can be extremely beneficial to your health.
Using an EMF meter, you can identify areas with higher electromagnetic readings around your CPAP machine. This allows you to adjust the placement of your device, ensuring it’s situated further away from your sleeping area or body. Additionally, you can evaluate the EMF levels while the machine is in operation and explore options for shielding.
By regularly checking these readings, you can make informed decisions about your machine’s usage and explore alternatives if necessary. Overall, an EMF meter empowers individuals to take proactive steps in mitigating EMF exposure, promoting a healthier sleep environment while still benefitting CPAP machines.
